The Golden Valley County Sheriff Office is seeking a full-time Deputy Sheriff. This position guarantees 171 hours a month. Benefits are available.

The applicant must be Montana POST certified or qualified and able to obtain POST equivalency within one year of hire.   

The Deputy Sheriff position also includes certifying as a Montana Deputy Coroner and Basic Wildland Fire Fighter.  Additional duties of assistant DES Coordinator may also be required.

The applicant must be a high school graduate or have passed the general education development test and have been issued an equivalency certification by the Superintendent of Public Instruction, an appropriate issuing agency, another state, or the federal government.  A Montana driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one, is required for this position.
